    Amalia Miralrío is a mixed race Mexican American woman in private practice serving Michigan and Pennsylvania virtually. Her clinical training is in both Social Work and Human Sexuality. She specializes in supporting women of color through painful dating experiences and healing old relationship wounds. Before transitioning into private practice, Amalia worked at a non-profit supporting survivors of sexual violence and traumatic loss. She was motivated to launch a practice that honored all parts of her identity, supported her clinical growth, and allowed her to part with the pressure to remain "neutral" in regards to social justice issues.


Amalia Miralrío is a mixed race Mexican American therapist who helps women of color make sense of their painful dating experiences and heal old relationship wounds. In this talk, we outline the insidious ways colonialism impacts our relationships. Interview by Meagen Gibson.
